Paros Island and Locations in Paros :Chryssi Akti :

Chrysssi and Nea Cryssi Akti (Tserdakia) beaches lie to the Southeast of Paros and are two of the most beautiful and famous beaches in the island for the ideal wind conditions ( called 'Meltemia' in Greek ) that make windsurfing possible. Actually on the New Cryssi akti Beach the World Championship of Windsurfing takes place every year in early August. Both beaches are fantastic for they have it all; wonderful, golden sand and crystal water, ideal for swimming, seasport facilities with trained staff, a number of taverns and accommodation. The only drawback is the distance from Parikia, the island's capital. Both beaches lie 23 klm away from the capital but there is regular bus transportation or you can hire a car or motorbike.
