South of Corfu Town..Benitses in the last few years,has been part of the municipality of Achillion with  a very nice place amongst other villages he village centers on a small harbour where fishing boats moor, and beaches stretch along the seashore. The old settlement preserves its traditional character. Behind the old fishermen’s cottages which face the pedestrianised harbor square with its tree-shaded park, there are ruins of a Roman bathhouse, while in the valley behind the village you find a natural spring in a glade of  plane trees. Benitses was one of the first communities in Greece to operate its own biological sewage plant, and consequently the sea is crystal clear. The resort offers all necessary facilities.
