Hani Kokkini
This  resort is a few kilometres east of Heraklion, situated on the northern coast of the prefecture. It is a renowned resort offering plenty of luxurious hotels and other accommodations as well as numerous Cretan taverns, bars, shops and restaurants. The beach of the resort is fully organised, providing all the needed facilities and various sea sportsand more facilities .Kokkini Hani beach, 12 km east of Heraklion (There is a big sandy beach along the main road, which is annoyingly full of sunbeds. There is also a beach bar with loud music and younger people may find it interesting. In Kokkini Hani there are also many smaller sandy beaches. Side roads lead to them and you will have to ask around in order to locate them
