It is a small graphic village with view to the Ionian sea and Zakynthos. It belongs in the Municipality of Livathous and abstains 15 km from the Argostoli. It is built in the foot of Ainos and the residents deal mainly with the agriculture and the livestock-farming. Near in the Vlachata is found also the village Lourdata that is famous for the production of horticultural products.  At your visit in the Vlachata, you will see also the historical abbey of Virgin Mary of Sisionn that was built in the 13th century by Agios Fragkiskos of Asizis.
