Veria is the capital town of Imathia, amphitheatrically built at the foot of mountain Vermion, in the center of the prefecture. It is situated 69km. away from Thesaloniki and 509km. away from Athens. The town has a population of approximately 38,000 inhabitants.
Some of Veria’s landmarks are the Hebrew district, with the traditional aristocratic residences, the building of the old city market, as well as, the park of Elia covered in huge trees. Additionally, a great characteristic of the town is the existence of more than 100 freshly running water points.
