The village of Thymiana is situated 8km. away from the town of Chios. The village with the traditional architecture, is famous for its quarries and the « thymianousiki» stone-an ochre-yellow colored stone.
It is a tourist settlement with several hotels, restaurants and cafeterias. In a short distance there is the Karfas beach.
