The old fishing village of Thermi is located in the northeastern side of the island, near the town of Mytilini. It has a population of approximately 1,000 inhabitants. Thermi is ideal for those seeking peaceful vacations with no nearby commercial activities.
The name of the village was given by the Romans when they built the original thermal baths, (fed from the natural hot springs).
Because of the existence of many tower houses, the village has been recently named as Pyrgoi Thermis. Today, few of these are saved by the Turkish occupation and are characterized as monuments.
The beach of Thermi is found in a distance of just 200m. along with restaurants, cafeterias and bars.
