Therma is situated 2km. east of the island’s capital. It is a secluded place overlooking the sea, set in a narrow rock cove with a row of cafeterias along the shore. The beach is a combination of pebbles and sand with crystal clear waters.
Therma is worldwide known for its hot radioactive mineral springs. More specifically, it has  three of the principal hot springs on Ikaria. The village’s reputation and history date from the Classical period.
