Sykaminia is a small village with a picturesque harbor covered in huge plane trees. The site is one of the most romantic in all of Greece. Sykaminia is the legendary village made famous by Stratis Myrivillis in his book titled «The Mermaid Madonna».
It is worth visiting the beach at Tsonia where there is a small taverna and cafeteria. The beach, known by the locals as the «hot beach», is a very popular visiting point for dolphins.
