The town of Spetses is the main settlement of the island. The centre and main harbor is known by the name of Dapia. Several beaches can be found along the waterfront in and around the town, such as Agia Mamas and College beach. Additionally, water taxis connect the town with any beach on the island or even the coast of Peloponnese.
The town is ideal for long walks among the narrow paved streets and red-tile roofed mansions. The visitor can find here a great number of hotels, apartments, cafeterias, tavernas, nightclubs, commercial and souvenir shops.
