Small Cyclades (Introduction): The Small Cyclades are situated between the islands of Naxos and Amorgos, consisting of a complex of 32 small islands and numerous rocky islets. Four of them are inhabited, namely Pano Koufonissi, Donoussa, Schinoussa and Iraklia. Pano Koufonissi is the smallest and yet the most populated.
All islands are blessed with natural beauties, green landscapes, beautiful beaches and wild or carved rocks. Today, the ports and bays of the Small Cyclades are well known as being the best resorts for sailing boats. In the past they used to be hiding places for the pirates. If you want to visit some of these islands, you can take the ferry boat from Piraeus, Naxos or Amorgos. All of them are ideal destinations for those wishing to have a peaceful vacation away from the crowds.
