Skala Eressou is situated on the western part of the island, 90km. away from the town of Mytilini. The village is a major center for bird watching, built on a valley floor.
Skala Eressou has one of the most beautiful beaches in all of Greece with a great number of cafeterias and tavernas on the waterfront. More specifically, the sandy beach, 3km. long, has been awarded the blue flag for being the cleanest of all.
Accommodation is available throughout the village. Additionally, there is a small harbor with its own beach and many traditional fishing boats.
