The beautiful coastal town of Porto Rafti is situated 35km. away from Athens, with a population of approximately 7,000 inhabitants. The settlement’s name derives from the existence of a large marble statue, (dating in the Roman period), known as the «Tailor», («raftis» in Greek), located on a rocky islet, close to the harbor. The harbor of Porto Rafti is no longer in use due to environmental concerns. The long beach, is ideal for swimming and relaxation with crystal clear waters. The visitor may find here a great range of hotels, apartments, traditional tavernas, cafeterias and commercial ships.
