The picturesque mountainous village of Pinakates is situated 26km. away from Volos, built at an altitude of 560m. There are several paths for beautiful walks through the old traditional houses and mansions. The square of the village is the ideal spot for a coffee under the shade of the plain trees, next to an impressive spring water fountain decorated with four marble lion heads. The visitor can find here a few tavernas, cafeterias and rooms to let.
