It is a small coastal village that belongs in the Municipality of Livathous, which is extended in the south-western department of the island.  It allocates a small graphic harbour and a beautiful beach that is ideal for those who avoid the busy beaches.   In the wider region because of the rich vegetation of the plains there have been developed the cultivation of olive trees and the vine-growing. The last years the r residents have also turned into the tourism. The infrastructures are continuously improved and also the Pessada become continuously more popular.
