The mountainous village of Pertouli is a picturesque settlement with traditional colour and a majestic fir-tree forest. It is situated 48km. away from Trikala, ideal for the lovers of winter sports. There is a fully organized ski-center, at an altitude of 1200m. on the mountain of Koziakas.
Even though it has no more than 75 inhabitants, Pertouli is well known for the University Forest which includes woody areas, biotopes and pastures. Also, the gorge of «Faraggi tis manas», (meaning «Mother’s Gorge» in Greek), is a rich biotope with bears, deer and wolves. The visitor can find here quite a few hotels, tavernas and traditional cafeterias.
