20km west of Thessaloniki, exactly at the center of Thermaikos Gulf we find ourselves in Perea, a coastline community and very popular touristic resort. The place was inhabited in 1923 when immigrants from Asia Minor and Thrace settled here, forming three communities, Agia Triada, Nei Epivates and Perea. The three communities were united in 1999, forming the municipality of Perea. The 7,4 km extension of the beach in combination with the fact that Perea is barely half an hour away from Thessaloniki is what makes this place so popular to the citizens of the capital of Northern Greece and a significant touristic resort. Accomodating facilities, organized beaches and a well working trading center are all offering high standard services to the visitors.
Across the coastline you will find restaurants that serve fresh fish, grill- houses, coffee- shops, traditional tavernas and numerous bars. The view of Thermaikos Gulf during night time is magic. Night- life is intense and rich in options.
