PELLA
Pella (Introduction): The prefecture of Pella has a total area of 2,506sq.km. and a population of approximately 148,000 inhabitants.Pella is situated at the utmost end of Northern Greece, being surrounded by a beautiful scenery. There are several caves and thermal springs to visit, so do not miss the opportunity. Every year various cultural events are organized here. One of the most significant ones, especially for the lovers of flowers, is the so-called «Tulip Festival», taking place during the first weekend of May.
The new town of Pella is situated only 1km. away from the archaeological site, offering to the visitors all kinds of facilities, including hotels, apartments, restaurants, cafeterias and commercial shops.
