Paros Beaches

Welcome to Paros Island, view Paros Beaches

View here the images from Paros beach

The following report will travel you to the most important beaches of the island of Paros, from the West to the South and then to the East until up to the North. What makes Paros unique is the variety of beaches all around the island, even though the exact number is not clear yet.If you take the Western coast, you start with the town of Parikia, the island’s capital. The beaches near Parikia are not really recommended due to the not clear port sea-water. There are three and if we had to choose among these, we would suggest the most Northern one – two out of the three are to the North of the town- .One asset is that all three beaches are easily reachable, you can go by bus, car, or even on foot. From Parikia, as you go towards the South and before you reach Pounda beach, there is a number of satisfactory beaches but away from the main road. Although there is public transport and sings indicating where you must turn, if you get off the bus, walking is required. One beach with this drawback is Parasporos. However, it is quite nice and organized but suggested only if you have your own vehicle. Some beaches between Pounda and Alyki are neither accessible nor popular due to irregular bus transport and the remote main road. When you arrive to the most Southern part of the island, you will find Alyki settlement. There has been a touristy development the last few years but it still keeps the picturesque character along with a lovely beach. From Alyki towards the Southeastern coast there is a number of beautiful but not crowded beaches until you reach Drios resort and the Golden beach, a beautiful, windy, sandy, and long beach, the perfect place for windsurfing. There are such facilities with the right equipment and trained staff to teach you everything about the sport.Near Golden beach lays the New Golden beach where the World Windsurfing cup takes place every year in early August. If you go a bit to the Northeast, you will see Logaras resort. Its beach is set inside a bay along with the beach of Piso Livadi. Both beaches are nice and accessible by bus, car, or motorbike. To the North of the island, just before Naousa town and near the Santa Maria camping, lays another magnificent and big beach, ideal for windsurfing, with such facilities. The Santa Maria resort is a bit Northern, with two smaller beaches, nice accommodation and accessibility to both Naousa and Parikia. As you move towards Naousa there are several beaches on your right. Inside Naousa there are two more beaches, one to the east of the town and the other to the west. They are ok but most people prefer going to the beaches located in the Naousa bay.One of the most popular and scenic beaches is Kolimbithres, opposite the cosmopolitan Naousa. This beach is a unique geological phenomenon due to an unbelievable variety of rocky shapes that form little bays.Another well-kwon beach, which is further than Kolimbithres, is Monastiri. It is the youth beach with sun beds, umbrellas, a nice tavern-bar, and loud music playing all day.To visit these two beaches, you must take the West road from Naousa along the bay. First you will see Kolimbithres. Before you reach Monastiri, you can’t miss seeing a marvelous hotel which combines holidays with sports. There is a windsurfing school, equipment to hire, an Aqua land as well as other sport facilities. The return to Parikia is possible through the main road which is away from the coast.

Beaches in Paros

Drios village in Paros island is definitely worth a visit, to walk around the beach, to see the abandoned
Drionisi". The beaches that follow after Drios village are several and beautiful. But most of them are not easily accessible as the roads are not good
Agia IRINI in Paros island , A sandy beach with many palm trees all over the bay,
close to the sea waters. It has two entrances that lead intotwo different bays. It's quiet, with a Fishing restaurants on the beachwhere you can have from a refreshment up to a nice lunch
Golden beach, Tsirdakia, New Golden beach All are next to each other and easy to reach. The most known of all is Golden beach, where the world champion ship of windsurfing is organized every year
Kolymbithres, Monastery beach, Agioi Anargyroi
Organised, sandy beaches. The sandy beach of Agioi Anargyroi,is on the other side of the town, and it's very popular, as most of the
hotels of Naoussa are in a short distance...
Santa Maria
Before you reach Santa Maria, you will see a slide part of land, that goes into the sea and takes you to a small island while you walk in the water. It's amazing!...
the beach is surrounded by nice restaurants, small hotels and other self catering  accommodation. A nice choice for families. The only thing that you should take  in consideration is that the water as you go in becomes suddenly much deeper.
A tiny beach, but with an organised club that makes it the most crowed beach of Paros. You can find restaurant, music bar, swimming pool, ice cream and desert canteen, bowling game, pumping jumping games, sea water games - whatever you can imagine… It's a paradise for the young people...
Krios and Marchelo
Both are nice sandy beaches and you have a wonderful sight of Paroikia port.
Plakoto, Argiakas, Tsoukalia, Molos bay,Most of them rocky beaches. Tsoukalia beach, is wider and sandy compared with the other. If you ignore the few houses there, that are hidden behind the rare trees, it gives the impression that you are in the middle of Nowhere.Nice beach though and good for the windsurfers...
