Olympiada is a beautiful village, built along a sandy beach which stretches out to the edge of a natural harbor and is surrounded by evergreen mountains (the beach of Olympiada has been rewarded with the "blue flag" continuously during the last years).
Olympiada offers to visitors who would like quiet holidays, a clean sea, fishing, walks in the around area and in the Archaeological places, without however missing something from nightlife for those who wish to combine both. For those who have small children, Olympiada is the most suitable place for holidays because the waters are shallow, hardly 30-50 cm depth for at least 50 meters distance from the coast.
The natural beauty and the archeological sites of great historic interest attract the visitors who come to Olympiada for the first time, as they combine sea activities with sightseeing and knowledge.
Olympiada is located on the northeastern side of Halkidiki and is only 95 km from Thessaloniki. The visitor may spend relaxing vacations, with swimming, sun, food and serenity, but at the same time make use of the comparative advantage of exploring a region that is protected by the NATURA 2000 program for its natural beauty. Among other things, the two ancient cities, the city of Classic Stagira, the birthplace of Aristotle and the Hellenistic Stagira of Phillip the Second, father of Alexander the Great, invite the visitor to a historic flashback.
