The village of Neos Pirgos, (meaning «New Tower» in Greek), is situated on the north side of the island, 134km. away from Chalkida. It has a population of approximately 1,200 inhabitants and is an ideal base for those wishing to explore North Evia. Neos Pirgos is a popular coastal village, not far from Orei, combining both a beautiful, long beach and a magical mountain.
