Neapolis is a small town of approximately 2.500 inhabitants, situated on the south of the third peninsula (or foot) of Peloponnese, about 112 km from Laconia’s capital city, Sparti. It is connected by ferry with the island of Elafonissos. It was built at the location of the ancient city of Vioi. It has a long sandy beach and a beautiful port. Visitors can see the medieval castle in Agia Paraskevi and the monastery of Agia Eirini at Cavo Malias cape.
