60 kilometers more south from Thessaloniki and with a population of 6500 inhabitants, you will find Nea Moudania.
It was built after 1922 from Asia Minor Greek refugees which gave in the settlement the name of their previous city (now Mudanya, Turkey) hence the word Nea which in Greek means 'new.'

Main occupation for inhabitants of Nea Moudania is fishing and farming. Nea Moudania is popular for Thessalonians who build their (second) house in this town.
At the beach of Nea Moudania you can enjoy your coffee and the very fresh fish and also the ouzo tidbits offered at the fish-houses. In the sea the water depths are ideal for the little visitors, as well as for those who are not particularly good swimmers. Visitors will have unforgettable moments at the various town bars, clubs & taverns.
