Morfovouni, (originally called Vounesi), is one of the biggest villages in the prefecture of Karditsa, built on the slopes of Agrafa mountains. In front of the village lies the Thessalic plain and on the west side it is surrounded by a beautiful forest covered in chestnuts. Morfovouni, with a population of approximately 1,000 inhabitants, it is the birthplace of Niκolaos Plastiras. Additionally, it is one of the most important wine villages of Agrafa. Every year, several cultural events take place here. There are various hotels, tavernas and cafeterias to choose from.
