The beaches of Amoudara, Linoperamata and the nearby Palaeokastro are ideal for swimming and offer facilities for various sea sports.
About 6 kilometres Northwest from Ammoudara is the village of Palaeokastro where you can visit the ruins of the Venetian castle.
At a distance of 8-9 kilometres South from Amoudara are the the small villages of Ano Kalessia and Kato Kalessia where the feast of the sultana raisin, organised by the Cultural Centre of the villages, takes place in early August every year.
