Melissi: This is a village between Kiato and Xylokastro on the coastline of the Korinthian Gulf, northwest of Ko-rinthos. The name means beehives because of the wild bees that had their hives in a rock by a church. The village revived when immigrants from Sikyon decided to stay here. It’s full of trees, a beach rich in sand, blueberry trees and willow trees. Visit Mitikas and Pigadi. Vassilis Maros, the famous painter was born here in 1887.
