Megalochori: Megalochori is situated on the west side of the island, close to the port. Even though its name means « big village» in Greek, it has no more than 460 inhabitants. Megalochori sits on a hill, consisting of typical Cycladic houses and neoclassic buildings. There is, also, a large number of wine testing places. Many of the bigger facilities, such as Boutari, are situated on the village’s outskirts among the vineyards. At the main square, the visitor can find a few traditional tavernas and cafeterias.
