Megali Amos (or Ammos) is situated just outside Skiathos Town, on the road to Koukounaries. It is next to Vassilias Beach and together they strech on an almost 2 km long sandy beach. These beaches, being on the foot of the hills of Skiathos island are protected from the winds, allowing visitors to enjoy their swim in the crystal clear waters. Megali Ammos is well organised with free space, sun beds, lockers, showers and water sports. There is a number of hotels and several tavernas, cafes and shops.
