Mavrovouni is a village very close to Gythio. On the last slopes of mountaion Mavrovouni the Tzane- takos Grigorakis castle is built, including smaller towers, arch-gate and a two-floor palace. This castle ia also the Historic and National Museum of Mani. The dorp is full of pictureresque buildings and houses.
Visit the church of Saint John and Panagia. Take a swim in the blue waters and hang out on the wide beach.
