Malakassi  is the last village of the prefecture of Trikala, situated 50km. away from Kalambaka. It is built in the east slope of the Zigos mountain, at an altitude of 950m. Inside and outside the village there are several water springs for you to visit. Malakassi is the ideal region for hunting and 4x4 routes. The village is, also, famous for its cheese products. As far as accommodation is concerned, the visitor may find only a single hotel, namely the «Kinotikos Xenon».
