The small village of Makri, (meaning «long» in Greek), is situated between the towns of Alexandroupoli and Mesimvrina. It is considered as being an important holiday center with picturesque beaches of crystal clear waters. All houses follow the traditional architectural style. The visitor may find here several tavernas and cafeterias.
