Loutra Elenis: This is on the Saronic Gulf side of Korinthia and belongs to Kehrees which in ancient years was a port. The name means Helen’s spa and is reffered to Helen of Troy who originated from Sparti. As Pausanias, the ancient traveller says, beautiful Helen bathed herself in these wonderful waters. In the location Galataki was found the aqueduct and the temple of the city. The waters in Loutra Elenis are cold, rich in chlorine-sodium elements and many people visit it every year. The spring and the spa are south of Kehrees. It’s a very developed territiry partly because of the spa but also because of the beauty. It’s no accident that the queen of Sparti bathed herself there.
