Ligourio: 25Klm northeast of Nafplio, on the way to the ancient theatre of Epidavros (only 2Klm away) we reach Li-gourio, on the footroots of mountain Arahneo, a village full of life partially due to the visitors that the ancient theatre gathers and partially due to the monuments. On the acropolis of Ligourio we find the remainings of the walls of ancient Lyssa. Moving on, outside village Arkadiko, we find a Mycenean bridge and the remainings of Ancient Pyramid near the Saint-Marina church. This Pyramid was built during the 4th century BC and the theories about its usage are still very vague. There are about 300 churches and smaller churches spreaded across the territory around Ligourio. You can walk on the ancient path that leaded to Asklipieo. Visit the Natural History Museum to learn about the development of the ground through the ages. Admire the fossils of bole trees, fishes, minerals, corals and many more, aged from 235.000.000 to 241.000.000years old. This incredible museum tells us about the history of the ground, the civilazations that were created and the way they lived.
