During the ancient ages it was a very big and important port due to the location and the small distance from Korinthos. The architecture of the port was a tecnological miracle at those times and was later copied by the Romans and applied in many ports. Nowadays the combination green of the land and blue of the sea captures the visitors and that made Lecheo an important touristic resort. In passed ages was named Kolobotsi. It produces wine of great quality, citrus fruits and olive-oil. It has a long beach, clean waters and very fine sand.
