Korischades is situated only 5km. southeastern from Karpenissi. The village is famous for its well-preserved stone mansions, 60 in total. They were built by people who emigrated to Constantinople, Egypt and the USA. Today, tradition is perfectly combined with modern comforts. The square of Korischades lies at an altitude of 960m and is considered as being the biggest in the whole of Evritania. The magnificent natural environment of the settlement has been officially proclaimed protected.
