23 km west of Patra and 13 km from the airport of Araxos, this is a municipality in which the ancient city Dimi was standing, member of the Achain Fellow cities. Kato Achaia is a trade and commandment    center. The territory is of scientific and and ecological interest. We will find the Papa lagoon here and the aquatic biotope Prokopu. In Halandritsa and Portes we will find Mycenean tombs. Visit the castle of the Byzantine general Doxa-patri which is located at the village Skiada and the remainings of the Paleologos palace in the village Sarantameri.
The immaculate beaches Nikiforeika, Alikes, Kato Achaia and Alissos are spreading to an extention of 4Klm. Ho-tels, tavernas and vivid touristic movement are flourishing. In Dimi you will see remainings of the Hellenistic era, walls, foundations, mosaic floors, cemetaty, coins and water pipes. Visit the temples of the territory and the cave near the church of Saint-Dimitrios which was built during the 12th century AC and stegazo the hidden school during the Ottomanic domination.
