The graphic village Katastari is built in a region plenty of olive groves and a lot of running waters. It is the seat of municipality of Alykes and is found in distance of 14 km of north-western Zakynthos. The settlement is built amphitheatrically at the length of the central street and in the left unfolds of the gulf of Alykes. The view is fantastic.  The Katastari – still – has not been developed tourist. Thus, it maintains his traditional colour and it is offered for walks in the nature.  Near in the village is found the historical abbey of Saint Ioannis of Precursor that is dated by the 16th century.  Also, in the region of Saint Dimitrios we meet the therapy source Tsouri, where the water has been observed that they cure various dermatomes and illnesses
