Kastoria is the capital town of the prefecture , built on the shores of the lake Orestia. It is situated 200km. away from Thessaloniki and 520km. away from Athens, surrounded by the two beautiful mountains of Vitsi and Grammos.
The town, with a population of approximately 20,000 inhabitants, is worldwide known for the manufacturing and trading of furs. If you visit Kastoria, do not forget to take a walk in order to see the impressive mansions dating in the 18th and 19th century.
