The village of Kariani was built in the year of 1916, after the destruction of the old village by the Bulgarians. It is situated on the west side of Kavala, with a population of approximately 700 inhabitants. The settlement is surrounded by beautiful mountains, while, long sandy beaches can be found not far away from the village.
Kariani offers to all visitors a hotel, cafeterias and traditional tavernas. For the lovers of nature, there is, also, a fully organized camping site.
