Kanala: The village of Kanala is built above the sandy beach of Megali Ammos, 16km. away from the island’s capital. Here, the visitor can choose from various tavernas, cafeterias and small hotels. The sea water is ideal for children, as it is shallow.

Kanala has got its name from the church Panagia Kanala, the patroness saint of Kythnos. Also, here you can find a beautiful pine wood, the only one in the Cyclades complex.
