Kambos is one of the most beautiful areas of the island. More precisely, it is a green valley, 3km. south of the town of Chios, covered with citrus orchards. The low mountains that surround Kambos are the source of its underground waters.
The visitor can take a walk through the quite paths and admire the tall walls of the buildings, all made of local stone. Kambos, used to be the area where the aristocracy have had their summer vacations, with more than 200 mansions. Today, the few mansions left remind to all people the old glory of the area.
