Iria: This is another location in Greece that you can utterly believe you live in a past era. The village preserves a local character and the most dominant spot in Iria is the small picturesque port. Followed by the beach of Candia the beach in Iria is the perfect choice for a quiet swim. Throughout the coast you can find small restaurants (tavernas) and eat fresh fish. Near the cape of Iria a wreckage dated from the post Mycenean era was found in a depth of only 28m and was co-ming from Cyprus. The findings are exhibited in the Museum of Spetses. The lowland in Iria which is just outside the village, produces artichokes and the municipality every year organises food fiests and traditional dancing. Though it’s a small village you can surf, wind-surf and certainly swim in crystal waters.
