Ios Town: The town of Ios is also known as Chora.
 

It is the capital of the island, built on the western side. Walking through, one can admire the little white houses, the arcades and the narrow stone-paved streets. The first thing you shall meet, entering the town, is the square with the old windmills, where the center of commercial activity is set. The stone steps lead to the old Venetian castle where the visitor can enjoy the magnificent view of the port.
Visitors can find here many hotels, pensions, restaurants, souvenir shops, nightclubs etc. Nevertheless, despite the great amount of tourists, the town remains its traditional character, as it has been proclaimed a preserved settlement.
