The town of Hydra is the centre of the whole island, built amphitheatrically around the port. As you enter the port, on the right and left side, you shall see the popular parapets with the canons. The town is full of traditional houses, old mansions and stone-paved alleys. Even though Hydra is a small island, it has the best nightlife of all the Argosaronic islands, with many clubs and bars located on the west side of the town. Here, the visitor can, also, find several tavernas and cafeterias.
