Horefto, (meaning «dancing» in Greek), is a very small village with just 90 inhabitants. It is situated only 9km. away from Zagora and 56km. away from Volos. The sandy beach is ideal for swimming, attracting many visitors each year. If you visit the settlement, do not forget to discover the large sea caves, situated at Paleos Mintzelas. There, according to Greek mythology, the sea Nereid, Thetis, fell in love with Pileas.
