Gialiskari is a small fishing village in the northwest coast of Ikaria, with no more than 100 inhabitants. The traditional houses are spread over the forested hills among rich vegetation. For those visiting the island there are various hotels, shops and tavernas to choose from.
In Gialiskari is situated  the beach of  Messakti, one of the best in Mediterranean. At the eastern end of the beach there is a small lagoon.
