Etoloakarnania is one of the prefectures of Greece, situated in the western part of the country. More precisely, the prefecture is a combination of the two regions Etolia and Akarnania. The plains and valleys are combined perfectly with the mountains dominating the north, northeast, west and southeast parts. The most known mountain is the Akarnian Mountain. The longest river, counting numerous branches, is called Acheloos, also known as the «white river», (Aspropotamos). There are several beautiful beaches you can visit, such as the ones at Vonitsa, Menidi and Nafpaktos.
The visitors can find a great number of hotels, tavernas, cafeterias and commercial shops throughout Eteloakarnania.
