Eptalofos, also known as Agoriani, is settled on the north side of Parnassus mountain, 900m. above sea level. With a population of no more than 600 inhabitants, it is the ideal destination for those wishing to enjoy the beauty of nature. The village owes its name to the fact that is built on seven small hills, («epta» meaning seven and «lofos» meaning hill in Greek), at a slope covered in fig trees.
If you visit Eptalofos, do not forget to try the delicious local beans, honey and cheese. During winter, the ski center of Parnassus is a popular destination, while during the summer season many are those taking part in the collection of tealeaves. The visitor can find here several hotels, cafeterias and traditional tavernas.
