The town of Didimoticho, (meaning «twin walls» in Greek), is situated 950km. away from Athens and 100km. away from Thessaloniki. The area is covered in beautiful forests and a great part is used for farming.
The old town is surrounded by a picturesque castle, one of the greatest in the Balkan peninsula. Of great interest are, also, the baths of Ourouch Pasha and Feridoun Ahmet. Those public baths have been build during the 15th. century and they are, indeed, worth of visiting.
Didimoticho offers all sorts of facilities, including hotels, restaurants, cafeterias, clubs and commercial shops.
