Chrissi Akti: Chrissi Akti, (also known as Golden Beach), is the largest beach on the island, (1km.long), situated on the east coast facing towards Naxos. There are nearby hotels, restaurants, bars and shops. Because of a constant strong wind, the sandy beach is not just ideal for swimming, but also for windsurfing and other water-sports. Every August the Professional Windsurfing World Cup is organised here.
